Meditation is a vital part of my life. I practice it every day, twice a day, for around 30 minutes each session. These moments of quiet and stillness help me stay calm, centered, and connected to my intuition as I navigate through life’s ebbs and flows. However, I know not everyone has the time, energy, or even the inclination to commit to this much meditation daily. That’s completely okay. It’s not about the amount of time you spend meditating, but about the quality of the practice and the intention behind it.

Meditation isn’t about checking off boxes or reaching a certain level of mastery; it’s about making the effort to care for yourself, even in small doses. The universe, spirit, and your inner guides recognize and honor the effort you’re putting into looking after yourself.

If you’re new to meditation, or if life feels too busy to sit down for a formal session, that’s where mindful meditation on the go can come in. In fact, as I mentioned in my video above, meditation is something you can do in the middle of your daily activities. You don’t always have to carve out dedicated time to experience the benefits of mindfulness. Instead, you can weave it into the fabric of your everyday life.

Mindful meditation on the go is simple. It involves being aware of your thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations as they arise, without attaching any judgment or needing to analyze them. Just observe. Watch how they come and go, much like clouds floating across the sky. Recognize that they’re temporary, and they don’t have to control your day. By not latching onto these passing thoughts or emotions, you create more space for yourself to simply “be.”

One of the biggest sources of stress—worry, fear, and anxiety—comes from attaching meaning to every thought or feeling we experience. We try to interpret and make sense of our internal dialogue, often to our detriment. So, what if for a moment, you let go of that habit? Try not to assign any meaning to the thoughts or emotions that arise. Don’t label them as good or bad. Instead, just let them pass through like waves on a shore. See what happens when you resist the urge to cling to or push away your thoughts and feelings.
