Magician Tarot Card is a card of creation, bringing together new energetic forces, and believing in your gifts.
All of them are within you.
In this blog post, I will be sharing my take on the Magician Tarot card in the Tarot Deck and what it might mean for you if you have pulled that card.
If you are a beginner with the tarot and have yet to choose your first deck, I would highly recommend that you read my post 3 solid ways to choose the right tarot deck before you continue reading. In that post, I suggest a few ways you can select the deck that is right for you, how you can begin working with the deck and what some of the benefits are.
The Magician Tarot Card: my interpretation
Before conducting any reading, I advocate that you do a meditation to calm your physical mind and strengthen your psychic mind. The meditation that I use is a visual meditation, because that gives life to your intuition, brings you closer to your spiritual guides and connects you with your past lives.
After this, you set the intention for the spread you are about to do and then pick your card. For the purposes of this blog post, let us presume that you chose the magician tarot card.
After you have meditated, and before you have picked your card, you need to set your intentions for the reading. Why did this person come to see you, or what are you trying to figure out for yourself?
Love? Career? Health? Or was there a specific question? This will influence the reading of the card you do. As you will have seen in my post on choosing your deck, the type of deck you have will also influence how you read any particular card. As you can see in the picture below, the Magician Tarot Card comes in many different guises.
For now, let us say that the intention was to see what is going on in this person or your career, and you pulled the Magician Tarot Card.
In my view, this is a very positive card in terms of someone’s career. It can mean a promotion, career change, or possibly finding a new purpose behind the work they are currently doing. As you will see during a reading, the cards you pulled the magician with and whether it is upside down will also influence the reading you do.
At this point, you will often start conversing with whoever is sitting in front or start reflecting by yourself. A tarot reading is not a ‘clairvoyant reading’ per se; it is not really a psychic reading either. A tarot reading is much more like a conversation and an opportunity to highlight the different types of energies around that person right now and what might be coming up.
Sharing these energies will perhaps ignite new perspectives, areas for self-development and new goals that the person wants to set themselves. Allowing the person to take ownership of their journey is essential. Otherwise, it is too much about the person who is doing the reading, and essentially it is not about them at all.
In a Psychic Tarot Reading, this becomes essential to remember, as it is always about the individual and not the person who is conducting the reading.
Remember, you always have free will, so whatever the tarot reader says is not set in stone, and anything can change. The workings of the universe are much more complex than what one person can comprehend. We can, of course, understand snippets, but that is about it.
