What is spiritual healing used for

Spiritual Healing is a multifaceted approach to healing which first and foremost comes down to the act of channelling more of the Healing Power of the Cosmos via the gateway of meditation.

When you look it up, the dictionary definition of healing is the process of making or becoming sound or healthy again. When it comes to spiritual healing, this ultimately pertains to healing your access to your Inner Spirit, Aura and Chakras, which in turn will have a positive effect on your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual wellbeing.

Often, simply because of living our lives, our Chakras and Aura can become out of balance, blocked or otherwise not function properly.

If you did not know, we have seven main chakras:

  • The base Chakra, red
  • Stomach Chakra, orange
  • Spleen Chakra, yellow
  • Heart Chakra, green
  • Throat Chakra, blue
  • Brow Chakra, indigo
  • Crown Chakra, violet

They are energy centres within our Aura that create who we are.

Around us, we have the Aura, which is an electrical force, the Spirit around us that gives us all life. There are seven layers within the Aura too, but that is not important in this instance.

For example, if your brow chakra is underworked, this may lead to depressive thoughts or an anxious mind. Another example is that your base chakra is too open or overworked, which can lead to an angry, fanciful thinking or frustrated mind.

Spiritual Healing will not heal broken bones or cure cancer. Still, it can be effective at alleviating stress, soothing troubles of the mind, developing your connection with your inner spirit and providing you with a fresh perspective.

When our connection with our inner spirit improves, that will, in turn, help you to make better decisions for your life, which is healing. Often, poor outcomes in our lives come down to flawed thinking, feelings we cannot deal with, or negative habits. If we allow the connection with our inner spirit to become stronger, it will help us create better outcomes for our lives.

We engage in spiritual healing primarily via the practice of visual meditation, which includes a section about the chakras. Around our base chakra, there is a valve that controls how much of the energy of the cosmos is allowed to flow into us when we are in the earthly realm.

In meditation, we gently allow more of the energy of the cosmos to move through us, and that in itself is healing. However, we do not want too much because that can be overpowering and detrimental.

In addition to the guided meditation, I will work with you to move energy directly towards your body areas that require healing.

Other spiritual practitioners may use sound, drums, other musical instruments etc. I don’t use them in my practice, not because I dont think it does not work, only because that is not my approach.

The meditation that I guide people through focuses on bettering their spiritual wellbeing, thoughts and feelings. The meditation will also improve your focus and productivity and reduce stress; however, I see them more as pleasant side effects than the primary focus.

I think a much more important benefit of Spiritual Healing is the connection established with your Inner Spirit and how that improves your ability to cope with the uncertainty of life and each step of your path of life.

In the end, all of this comes down to your attitude of mind, and we can improve that with the practice of meditation with a spiritual flavour.
